Dominique DUTARTRE

Dominique DUTARTRE is President of ARD and co-director of SICLAE, ARD's main shareholder. As President of the competitive cluster IAR (Industries et Agro-Ressources - Industries and Agro-Resources) and administrator of INRA, Dominique DUTARTRE is chairman of Procéthol 2G, which manages Futurol, the national project for second generation bioethanol. Dominique DUTARTRE was trained in agronomics and has spent most of his life working for farming cooperatives, particularly Vivescia (formerly Champagne Céréales Group).

Yvon LE HENAFF

Yvon LE HENAFF has previously held the positions of Industrial Director and Commercial Director, demonstrating an innate talent for business development, both in France and abroad (Russia, Iran, Asia, etc.). Yvon LE HENAFF is now General Manager of ARD, located in Pomacle in the Marne département (a privately-owned research centre created in 1989, which now has around 79 employees working on adding value to non-food by-products of large scale crops from the Champagne-Ardenne region), bringing them all his business development and management expertise.

Philippe AUBRY

Phillipe AUBRY is Deputy General Manager of ARD. He is a graduate of the UTC (Compiègne Technical University) and specialises both in the technical and scientific aspects of plant fractionation, and particularly the conversion of lignocellulosic biomass through the supervision of ARD’s research programmes. He has particular expertise in the field of fermentation, both in process and procedure. Since 1989, Phillipe AUBRY has held several different positions in ARD, including Process engineer and Technical Director.

Xavier DE VANSSAY

Xavier DE VANSSAY is Administrative and Financial Director of ARD. His role involves supervising the financial, HR and purchasing departments. Before joining ARD, Xavier DE VANSSAY started his career as an auditor for KPMG, before working for the financial departments of international groups Amgen, Havas and Cap Gemini. Xavier DE VANSSAY has a master's degree from ESCP.  

Anthony BRESIN

Anthony BRESIN, who has a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from Marseille University and a PhD in industrial microbiology from Reims University, is responsible for ARD’s industrial biotechnology and fractionation departments. He coordinates the two departments’ research programmes, interacting with the different project managers. The two departments’ research themes focus on the production of first and second generation ethanol, methods of adding value to alfalfa and agro-industrial by-products, and the production of organic acids and genetically-modified (and unmodified) microorganisms through biotechnology.  Anthony BRESIN is also involved in the production of biopolymers by fermentation (in particular, hyaluronic acid).  He has produced eight patents as inventor, four of which are still being used, in the field of the production of and applications for biopolymers.  

Boris ESTRINE

A PhD in organic and macromolecular chemistry, Boris Estrine has been Manager of ARD’s chemistry department since 2002. His scientific training was more specifically in the fields of sugar chemistry and catalysis for the development of special chemicals.  He has written several articles and patents, and regularly gives lectures at international conferences.
